QŪT 2.0

QŪT (قوت) is the Arabic word for nourishment, livelihood, living, and food. QŪT 2.0 marks the 8th capsule collection for Saqhoute and the second part of our 7th capsule QŪT

The primary source of inspiration is food, our main source of nourishment, in Ancient Egyptian history. We selected specifically the Greco-Roman vegetable zodiac created in the 6th century of seasonal harvest where each month represents a crop. 

The food items that are inspiring our palette and our hand-embroidery designs are Dates, Asparagus, Mallows, Endives, Plam Shoots & Citrons representing the 2nd half of the year.
